Interested in becoming a La Leche League Leader?

If you are considering becoming a La Leche League Leader, the first step is to attend a meeting near you. Support meetings are the foundation of the organization and attending will give you the best perspective on what La Leche League is all about.

La Leche League Alliance for Breastfeeding Education provides support to La Leche League of Connecticut Leaders. On the Alliance website, you will find a comprehensive resource manual on Leader accreditation.

La Leche League meetings are free. Babies and nursing children are always welcome. Come for breastfeeding support, share your own parenting successes, troubleshoot a nursing challenge, or simply enjoy the camaraderie of motherhood.

La Leche League is an international, nonprofit, nonsectarian organization dedicated to providing education, information, support, and encouragement to families who want to breastfeed. All families interested in breastfeeding are welcome to attend the monthly Group Meetings or call a Leader for breastfeeding, chestfeeding or human milk feeding help. La Leche League of Connecticut also provides health care professionals with continuing education opportunities and access to the latest research on lactation management.

La Leche League USA (LLL USA) and La Leche League of Connecticut (LLL CT) are committed to diversity and inclusion. LLL CT supports all breastfeeding, chestfeeding, and human milk feeding families, inclusive of their race, ethnicity, immigration status, national origin, creed, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, family structure, primary language, ability, or socio-economic status. LLL CT fosters diversity among its Leaders so as to incorporate a wide variety of perspectives and responsible decision-making.
