La Leche League meetings are free. Babies and nursing children are always welcome. Come for breastfeeding support, share your own parenting successes, troubleshoot a nursing challenge, or simply enjoy the camaraderie of motherhood.

In case of inclement weather, please contact one of the listed Group Leaders to confirm the time/location of the meeting.

La Leche League is an international, nonprofit, nonsectarian organization dedicated to providing education, information, support, and encouragement to families who want to breastfeed. All families interested in breastfeeding are welcome to attend the monthly Group Meetings or call a Leader for breastfeeding, chestfeeding or human milk feeding help. La Leche League of Connecticut also provides health care professionals with continuing education opportunities and access to the latest research on lactation management.

La Leche League USA (LLL USA) and La Leche League of Connecticut (LLL CT) are committed to diversity and inclusion. LLL CT supports all breastfeeding, chestfeeding, and human milk feeding families, inclusive of their race, ethnicity, immigration status, national origin, creed, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, family structure, primary language, ability, or socio-economic status. LLL CT fosters diversity among its Leaders so as to incorporate a wide variety of perspectives and responsible decision-making.

La Leche League Meetings

What do you do at La Leche League meetings?

At La Leche League meetings, mothers are encouraged to share their breastfeeding experience, offer suggestions and provide encouragement to one another.  La Leche League meetings are a wonderful place to create friendships as you travel along your parenthood journey.

  • Babies and toddlers are always welcome at La Leche League meetings.

  • Meetings are always FREE.

  • Expectant mothers are encouraged to attend. Now is the perfect time to build your breastfeeding support system.

  • You may hear a variety of life experiences and suggestions at LLL meetings. Mothers are encouraged to take what works and leave the rest.

  • Some mothers worry about having a fussy baby at a meeting. The most important thing you can do at a LLL meeting is tend to the needs of your child. Mothers are encouraged to nurse, change diapers, or bounce around the room with a fussy baby!
