Area Conference & Healthcare Provider Seminar 2012
La Leche League of Connecticut's Annual Area Conference & Healthcare Provider Seminar for 2012 will be held at the Southbury Crowne Plaza on April 27, 2012.
On Friday, April 27, we will be hosting our Healthcare Provider Seminar, open to doctors, nurses, lactation consultants and other breastfeeding professionals to provide them with the opportunity to connect and share information regarding breastfeeding and its health effects not only on the infant but the community at large.
We are pleased to announce our featured speakers; Nancy Mohrbacher, IBCLC, FILCA will be joining us to present Working and Breastfeeding Made Simple, Transitioning to the Breast and Nipple Trauma: Causes and Treatment.
Our second speaker is Jennifer Lewy Young, MD, FAAP, IBCLC. She will be presenting What Mothers Hear: Common Obstacles to Breastfeeding Success.
We will also be announcing our Healthcare Provider of the Year Award during lunch at the HPS. The 2011 winner was Dr. Paul Juan, from Valley Pediatrics of Greenwich. A few of the featured guests Saturday April 28 will be Jared M. Skoron ND, Nancy Mohrbacher, IBCLC, FILCA and many others.
On Saturday, April 28, 2012 La Leche League of Connecticut will host its 33rd Annual Area Parenting and Breastfeeding Conference, It’s a Jungle Out There. If you would like to attend both events, there is a $10 discount (for non-LLL Leaders only) offered on the Area Conference Registration form only. As LLL Leaders already receive a discount, this $10 only applies to those who are not Leaders. A few of the featured guests Saturday April 28 will be Jared M.
